Vintage Midcentury Caravelle by Bulova Gold Plated Swiss Watch Pendant Necklace 24.25" | Needs Battery

Circa 1960s-1970s, Midcentury.

No case marks but watch face says "CARAVELLE" and "SWISS". Wind dial has Bulova symbol.

Caravelle watches are often known as Caravelle by Bulova. Bulova, founded in 1875 as J Bulova Company by Joseph Bulova and became under the name Bulova Watch Company in 1923, is an American timepiece manufacturing company. In 1962, Bulova introduced the Caravelle line of jeweled watches, priced to compete with existing non-jeweled watches in the same market.

By 1968, the Caravelle was the largest selling jeweled watch in America.

Chain measures approximately 24.25 inches long and has a spring ring clasp. Watch/pendant measures approximately 1.75 inches long (including bail).

Watch has a diameter of approximately 1.3 inches. Will work for a few seconds and then stops ticking; needs a new battery.
