Published by The F.M. Lupton Publishing Company, New York. Unmarked copyright date, but first page is inscribed with original owner’s name & date of January 20, 1901.

The elite series by the F.M. Lupton Publishing Company (for which there is an ad at the end of this book) dates from 1892 to 1904. Kenilworth.

A Romance is a historical romance novel by Sir Walter Scott, one of the Waverley novels, first published on 13 January 1821. Set in 1575, it leads up to the elaborate reception of Queen Elizabeth at Kenilworth Castle by the Earl of Leicester, who is complicit in the murder of his wife Amy Robsart at Cumnor.

Contains 376 pages. 

Back of book includes a full page ad for Mrs. Winslow’s Soothing Syrup. There is also a dried leaf "bookmark" placed between two pages, as pictured, and most likely from the original owner as well.

In very good condition for its age, with some wear to cover. This book is over 120 years old! Please see all photos.
