Published under the auspices of Mrs. Eugene Field with the approval of the Monument Committee for the purpose of creating a fund, the proceeds of which will be equally divided between the family of the late Eugene Field, and the fund for the building of a monument to the memory of the beloved poet of childhood.

A limited edition collection of Field's poems, with full page and in-text illustrations of country scenes by artists of the day, to raise funds for building a memorial to Fields. Even has a "Busy Bee" paper doily presumably from previous/original owner, tucked in between two pages, as pictured.

In good condition. The cover has a noticeable amount of wear/staining, which is to be expected for its age (this book is over 125 years old!). Please see all photos.
