Antique 1920s 1930s Art Deco German Silver Monogrammed HBW Sovereign Coin Holder Chatelaine Compact Genuine Amethyst Cabochon

Circa 1920s-1930s. True Art Deco!

Inside is stamped “GERMAN SILVER”. Made from German Silver (aka Nickel Silver) which is not silver at all but has the appearance of sterling. German Silver is comprised of copper, nickel, & zinc.

This little purse/coin holder has a beautifully engraved monogrammed front. Believe the initials are “HBW”.

The top and back are domed so the case has a puffy look, and the inside has four spring loaded slots for coins- quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies.

Side of case is affixed with a beautiful genuine amethyst cabochon push button, which opens and closes the case smoothly and tightly with a nice snap.

Case measures approximately 2.4 inches long by 2.05 inches wide (when closed & not including amethyst button). When open, case measures approximately 4.2 inches long (not included amethyst button).

Chain & loop measures approximately 5.5 inches long.

Entire piece weighs approximately 63.81 grams.

In great condition with no noticeable flaws. May be some areas of slight/minor patina. Please see all photos. Coins not included.
