Circa 1920s-1930s, Art Deco. Made in Czechoslovakia.
Inside of metal frame is stamped “MADE CZECHO-SLOVAKIA”.
Beautifully designed and features hand sewn and prong-set sparkling blue turquoise rhinestones. The silver is not hallmarked, but appears to be a low grade silver, possibly 800, or perhaps steel.
The purse has elegant chain handle and kiss lock closure. Opens and closes securely. The lining is original, ivory/off-white color ribbed silk and a ruffled edge. There is also a small pocket inside. Fairly clean with a few small minor marks that appear to be from makeup.
Body of bag measures approximately 4.25 inches by 4.5 inches. Length of chain measures approximately 6.75 inches (from top of chain to top of bag).
Purse is in excellent condition for its age, and only appears to be missing two rhinestones, one from each corner of the bottom of the bag, as pictured. Please see all photos.
