Circa 1856-1930.

This is an antique sterling silver double blade pocket knife by Empire Co, WINSTED CT. Intricate raised design with black space in the center for engraving.

Along the inner border of one of these spaces, “STERLING” is stamped.

Approximate measurements as follows:

• Larger blade measures 1.25 inches long.
• Smaller blade measures 1 inch long.
• When both blades are fully out, measures 5.1 inches long.
• When both blades are closed, measures 2.05 inches long by 0.4 inch wide.

Weighs approximately 15.08 grams.

Blades are presumably carbon steel and have a considerable amount of wear/tarnish. Each blade is stamped “EMPIRE WINSTED CT”. Please see all photos.
