Antique Victorian Edwardian European 9ct Yellow Gold Seed Pearl Bar Pin Brooch C-Clasp

Beautiful Edwardian or Victorian design, with three rows of gold bars and a twist overlay of seed pearls and two gold swirls. Seed pearls added femininity, refinement, and sophistication to the jewelry they adorned, and reached the height of their popularity in the Victorian Era. The Victorians, who loved using jewelry as symbolic sentiments, viewed pearls as a sign of purity.

Back of pin is marked "9C" for 9ct gold, and also has a maker's mark.

Unable to identify maker's mark, but it appears to be a sideways keyhole.

Back of pin has a c-clasp, indicative of the Victorian and Edwardian eras.

Pin measures approximately 1.7 inches long by 0.25 inch wide. Weighs approximately 2.31 grams.

In excellent condition for its age. Please see all photos.
