Circa late 19th century, Victorian Era. No visible maker's marks or metal content marks, but presumed to be gold filled, as was most of the jewelry from this era.
Antique pocket watch fob featuring a gold tone chain with a classic T-bar and clip closure. The centerpiece is a round black (dark red in certain lighting) intaglio charm depicting a Roman soldier, set in an ornate rope-edge bezel. The intaglio appears to be sardonyx.
Length of chain is approximately 10.25 inches long (from end of clip to charm/fob). Intaglio charm/fob has a diameter of approximately 1 inch.
Weighs approximately 20.11 grams.
In good condition with no noticeable flaws. Metal has some tarnish/patina as to be expected with age & wear. Please see all photos.
