On back of frame is written, “1891 (Hand Coloured)”. Bottom left corner of print is signed “MEEDWARDS” for Mary Ellen Edwards.
Mary Ellen Edwards (9 November 1838 – 22 December 1934), also known as MEE, was a British artist and illustrator. She contributed to many newspapers, periodicals and children's books.
Please note that while frame is vintage, it appears to be later than the time period of the print.
Frame measures approximately 11.5 inches long by 9.5 inches wide, and has a depth of approximately 0.7 inch. Glass cover. Back of frame is affixed with wire for wall hanging.
In good condition with no noticeable flaws apart from minor wear, as expected with age. Please see all photos.
