One end has a spring ring clasp and the other end has a dog clip clasp.
Dog clasp is marked & signed “KEENE 12K 1/20”. Inside of dog clasp is marked “10 YEARS”.
Charles A. Keene was a high-end jeweler with a shop established in 1881 on what is now lower Broadway in NYC. Keene specialized in fountain pens, watches, jewelry, and diamonds. The company remained in business until 1932, when Charles Keene decided to retire.
