
Circa 19th century, most likely 1860s or later.
Back of mirror appears to be stamped with possible patent & maker, but unable to fully decipher. At top of the back of mirror, it appears to say “TO W.M. HAND CO.” or possibly “TOWN HAND CO.” Unsure if it says “HHND” or “HAND”.
Along bottom of the back of the mirror, it appears to say “RdNo. 94078”
Very unique & rare piece; unable to find any similar online with thorough research. Beautifully designed with a border of flowers, foliage, and what appears to be berries. At the center of the top of the mirror is an art nouveau style woman’s face. Back brass plate is affixed to the back of the mirror with flat back screws.
Please note that one screw is missing, but plate is still secure.
Hand mirror measures approximately 13 inches long by 6 inches wide. Actual size is mirror is approximately 5 inches long by 4.25 inches wide.
Weighs approximately 15.7oz.
In good condition with some minimal wear for its age. Please see all photos.
