Circa 1980s. Made in Mexico. Bail of pendant is stamped "TD-51", "925", & "MEXICO". Circa 1979, the eagle system was put to rest and replaced by a new letter/number mark to indicate the silversmith and guarantee sterling standard. The “T” represents Taxco, and the “D” represents the first initial of the silversmith. The number indicates that the maker is the 51st smith, with a name beginning with D, register a mark in their city's assay office.
Pendant jingles!
Clasp of chain is stamped "925". No visible maker's marks. Chain measures approximately 24.25 inches long and has a spring ring clasp.
Sphere measures approximately 22mm, or 1.25 inches long (including bail). Necklace weighs approximately 22.22 grams, in its entirety.
In good condition with no noticeable flaws. Silver is heavily patina'd, as expected with age & wear, but can be polished if you desire. Please see all photos.
